I met Jason several years ago when I was his student in the metal-forging, knife and tool-making class at Pima Community College, a course I repeated under his tutelage for many semesters. I learned a great deal about metal-working from him in that time.
A few years ago I needed to replace my failing wood fences, and collaborated with Jason on designing and building new ‘architectural’ steel fences and gates, which incorporated design input from Jason, my son and myself, and eventually included a small metal roof structure, an address sign and mail box as well. And most recently, we collaborated on a custom steel mail box for my sister and brother-in-law, which turned out beautifully. His design sense and workmanship are excellent.
